BALTIMORE BLOCK

Testimonies from the Baltimore Block:

During a 12 month span starting in 2007 WSO sent teams of evangelists on a weekly schedule to infiltrate the gospel  at Baltimore's infamous Block. This is the street is the street for Baltimore's burlesque and strip joints.

Listed below is a sample of testimonies on what WSO was able to do with the Lord's help of bringing light to a very dark area.

Our first testimony was a woman named Laura she was the first one that got saved she was a prostitute. She came up to us on the streets and she was with another man and they were both looking for money.  WSO prayed the salvation prayer with both of them right there on the sidewalk.

Then we met a man named Mike who was a door man in front of one of the clubs. Mike was the nicest person we met on the block during the entire time ministering on the Block.  Mike was excited about receiving Jesus as his Lord and Savior. We saw Mike about a week later inside of one of the clubs wearing a t-shirt saying that Jesus is the only one that can save you.  We thank God for Mike as he is a light in a very dark place.

After visiting one of the clubs on a regular basis we became friends with one of the bar tenders named Vince. Vince was a big man. He was in and out of a hospital with chest pains. One afternoon we went inside the club we asked Vince how he was feeling that day And he said not good that he was having chest pains again.  And the doctors could not explain why. We prayed for Vince's heart that the Lord would heal it.

We came back 2 weeks later and Vince ran over to us all excited. Telling us that the pain never came back after we prayed for Him. And we asked Vince if he wanted to accept Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior which he did.
